10k run

MARLOES SPUD RUN

What and where is the event?

A 10k multi-terrain run (road, disused airfield, coast path, beach and footpath) set on the Marloes peninsula, based at Runwayskiln café. The event is licensed by UK Athletics.

How big is it?

The field is limited to 200 competitors. Small but perfectly formed!

What is the course like?

Some would say undulating, others would say hilly! It is mainly on the Pembrokeshire Coast Path after all. The route takes in breathtaking views of the Pembrokeshire coast, including the internationally important seabird islands of Skomer and Skokholm. Best of all is a section on the stunning Marloes Sands, quite possibly the most beautiful beach in the world (but don’t tell anyone).

The course can be viewed on, and downloaded from, Garmin Connect here.

Is it suitable for novices?

If you can run or jog 10k, you can do this, but don’t expect a personal best.

What is the minimum age?

You need to be 15 or over on race day.

How much is it to enter?

£30

That sounds like good value! Is everything included?

Yep! The entry fee is fully inclusive of the following:

• Booking fee
• Tyvek race number
• Electronic timing
• Organic cotton event t-shirt from howies (only for entries received 3 weeks before event)
Coffee and cake at the finish (from Runwayskiln)
• Prizes (spuds! from nearby Trehill Farm)
• Electronic event photos

Does the event raise money for good causes?

Yes. The net profit from all of our events supports Pembrokeshire Triathlon Club develop triathlon in Pembrokeshire. Each event also supports one or more local good causes, including Greenacres Animal Rescue, Support the Boardwalk, and the RNLI.
