HALF MARATHON
Pembrokeshire Half Marathon & 10k
What and where is the event?
A 10k and a Half Marathon, both of which start and finish in the beautiful village of Dale. The event is licensed by UK Athletics.
How big is it?
The field is limited to 300 competitors in total across the two distances.
What is the course like?
Well the 10k only has one hill in it, but it is a steep one! The Half Marathon adds more hills in the second half, so both are best described as undulating. Both courses take place on relatively quiet country lanes, and take in St. Ann’s Head where you are rewarded with spectacular views of the Milford Haven Waterway in one direction, and Skokholm Island in the other. You also get to see not one, but two, lighthouses (even if one is now a holiday home).
Is it suitable for novices?
New runners are very welcome, but because of the hills these courses are unlikely to deliver a new personal best for you. The 10k is the best one to start with. Everyone who enters the Half Marathon needs to be able to finish within three hours.
What is the minimum age?
You need to be 15 or over on race day (10k) and 17 or over on race day (Half Marathon).
How much is it to enter?
£29 (10k), £34 (Half Marathon)

Does the event raise money for good causes?
Yes. The net profit from all of our events supports Pembrokeshire Triathlon Club develop triathlon in Pembrokeshire, including our junior section. Each event also supports one or more local good causes, including Greenacres Animal Rescue, Support the Boardwalk, and the RNLI.
