400m SWIM

17k BIKE

5K RUN
HAVER-TRI
What and where is the event?
A sprint distance triathlon (400m pool swim, 17k bike, 5k run) based at Haverfordwest Leisure Centre. Don’t fancy doing the whole thing? No problem! You can enter the triathlon as a relay team (teams of 2 or 3 people) or miss out the bike section and take on the swim and run – an aquathlon! The event will be permitted by British Triathlon.
How big is it?
The field is limited to 200 competitors. Absolutely perfect for your first event, or as a season opener!
What is the course like?
The swim is flat for a start! The bike course is undulating, with some fast flat sections and a few lumps and bumps, especially in the second half. You can view the bike course here. The run has one steady, shallow, incline at the start of each lap. Nothing that you would call a hill though! The run is four laps: the first three laps use this course, the final lap is just a little different at the end.
Is it suitable for novices?
It certainly is! A pool based sprint triathlon is the perfect event to give triathlon a go, and with aquathlon and relay options there is something for everyone.
What is the minimum age?
You need to be 15 or over on 31/12/2026.
How much is it to enter?
£40 (individuals), £50 (relay teams), £30 (aquathlon) (plus online booking fee)
That sounds like good value! Is everything included?
Yep! The entry fee is fully inclusive of the following:
• Electronic chip timing
• Tyvek race number
• Prizes
• Free electronic event photos
Anything else I need to know?
Make sure you have read our Cancellation, Transfer & Refund Policy before you enter. The Athlete Brief 2025 contains all the event details including the event timetable, registration, and the course. The 2026 version will be added in the New Year, but don’t expect much to change from the 2025 version.
Entries close on Friday 3rd April or when the event fills, whichever is sooner.
